On the 29th of March I picked up Steve Haag and Jimmy Blanton at the Villa Hermosa airport at 9pm, we immediately drove the 2 hours to Palenque and spent the night there. The next morning we traveled to Tortuguero in Ch'ol country to begin the scouting process for the start of work in that area. The visit went well and we continued on to San Cristóbal . On the morning of April 1st we left for Zoque territory stopping in San Fernando to retrieve the land documents from Jacob on the way. We arrived in Jose Maspac late and spent time visiting families to publicize that we would be holding the bible study again tomorrow evening. The next day we visited Antonio Maspac and delivered the requested Spanish English Study bible to Anastasio. He was very grateful and right away launched in trying to decipher the English by comparing the Spanish. After prayer we continued on to Caracol to meet with Josue and install 2 water filtration systems.  We also visited with Celedonio regarding the translation of the "El Camino a Jesus" study. He had some useful remarks and we have made changes to the translation accordingly. We returned to San Jose Maspac and there spent the rest of the day installing 7 more filtration systems and holding the second bible study. This time we tested the new audio recording of the study vs. having Amin read aloud. The study again was well received and the audio version will allow us to start studies even where there are no Zoque readers. We spent the night again there in Mascpac and installed 2 more filtration systems the next morning before returning to San Cristóbal . All told there were 11 filtration systems installed and we visited 3 communities. NJT
