Joel and Zaremi Arcos have a desire to return to Joel's people the Ch'ol as missionaries. Thanks to a generous gift from the USA we are helping them build a house in Tortuguero. Joel and his family are responsible for the ground work and foundation, we will be putting up the walls and roof and then they will be responsible for the electrical and plumbing.

These pics are of the 2nd and 3rd trip they have made out to work on the site prep. You can see; the land being cleared, the footers dug, gravel and sand coming up from the river, wood being cut into planks for forms, forms built and the pour being done. The slab will be poured after the roof is on, due to the daily rains. There is very little ground work left to do and then it will be our turn!!!

On the spiritual side of things, Joel and Zaremi have visited with several families and have had very good reception. One husband is struggling with alcoholism and is open to the help Joel is offering him. Joel has left the Ch'ol audio CD of Romans 1-8 with him.

Please be praying for Joel and Zaremi, for God's strength to be given them to do the work He has called them to. And for the Ch'ol people, that their hearts would be open to hearing God's word.
