March 5th Steve Haag, Leah Molina, Sarah Hooley, and Nathan Terrell. We stopped in Santa Marta with Don Mailo and delivered his "new" crutches. We arrived mid day in Jose Maspac and started getting the news out that there would be a bible study the evening of the following day. This would the first organized study of the newly translated Biblical overview "El Camino a Jesus" (the way to Jesus) it consists of 36 short studies that establish; God, the Bible, satan, Sin, the promise of a Savior, and the fulfillment of that promise. This was a test group for the first revision process of the translation. The next day we left for Antonio Maspac and stopped at Anastasio’s home. We had a chance to visit and pray with him and his family. We continued on to Caracol to retrieve the revised copy of the bible study for that night. It was ready and we left for Tila. There we installed a filtration system but were unsuccessful in our search for several men that were gone to the fields. We continued on to Nuevo Candelaria and installed 2 filtration systems there. We also delivered a glucometer to the local midwife along with prenatal vitamins. We arrived back in Maspac just in time to start the bible study. 4 families gathered in Felipe's house and listened attentively to Amin as he read the first study. Then made him read 4 more. The study was a success! Thanks also to Sarah and Leah for taking all the children up the road for a children’s study. The next day we visited with several other families in Jose Maspac and installed one other filtration system then were on our way home by noon. Amin will be visiting San Cristóbal soon to record the study in audio format. all told there were 4 filtration systems delivered and we visited 6 communities. NJT
